Amy Schumer and the Bold Value of You: Part 1 —Four Lessons in Self-Confidence
Christopher D. Connors

Excellent insights, Christopher.

This last year I bought audiobook bios of Steve Martin, Martin Short, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and finally, Amy Schumer.

The week prior to starting on Amy’s book, I saw her in Portland Oregon, filling the Moda Center to capacity. Incredible.

And though a fan of Inside Amy Schumer, I wasn’t expecting much from her bio. Maybe a slightly expanded riff on vagina jokes.

As Popeye would say “Well Blow Me Down!”

She delivered so much more than I expected. Her humanity bled through the speakers. Her openly sharing what it REALLY takes to refine your art. To Go Pro. To make luck happen.

My favorite book of 2016 is The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo.

Amy is now one of my heroes. And she deserves any accolades she gets. She does the work. She supports those around her. She gives fearlessly.
