Thanks Kristi. I wasn’t aware of Emergenetics. It looks very interesting and has the advantage of addressing thinking as well as behavioral traits. I’m glad you found it to be so accurate. The one weakness I see on the surface is that it doesn’t easily become a social currency for teams to use. Thinking Styles was developed for teams to use in everyday work. “Let’s get some more explorers on the team.” Or “What would a Connector have to say.” I just can’t see a team leader saying “We need more Abstract/Analytical/Divergent people on the team.” Also, the need to take a lengthy (and often costly) assessment is an impediment to use. Thinking Styles is just two questions. This makes for a lousy business model, but a lot more utility for the user!
