The author incorrectly defines and uses the term “chunking”. Chunking is the collecting of separate items into collections that can then be remembered as a single group. So instead of having to remember the individual items, one need only recall that single item that then primes and uniquely specifies those items.
It has nothing to do with selecting items “predicated on the aggregate” of some domain, and likewise nothing to do with “concatenat[ing items] to form unprecedented sequences”.
