My Not-So-Favorite Typeface of 2016
Frode Helland, Monokrom
1023

I am not a very good type designer yet.

I have interned at a few excellent foundries where there was varied amount of attention and time to teach me more of the craft, and it seemed as though it was up to me to learn to intuit the excellence of people 20 years my senior in the field.

This is what I feel how everyone in the field views my work, with this level of cynicism and accurate critique. So, I have not been very motivated to release projects or share the work that I was passionate about.

Am I just supposed to go to Type@Cooper courses until I’m as good as Christian Schwartz, or become the lucky few who get into KABK?
