Despite coming a long way as a civilised world that has progressed significantly over the years, we still continue to face major issues that have plagued our society for years.

Fortunately, this is where activism is making a big change. Activism centres around taking actions, including initiating policies of vigorous campaigning that can lead to social or political change. There have been many brave and willing individuals around the world who are going out of their way to indulge in activism and push forth in bringing about a change to the unjust systems in our world.

If you are someone who is interested in activism and want to become a bigger part of changing our world, keep in mind that it will not be an easy journey. Some of these activists’ campaigns can take years of relentless hard work and determination to produce positive results. You can also look at some of the work done by existing activism, using them as a role model to push you forward and assure you of your dreams of being an active activist.

Look at some of the contributions made by Anelia Sutton, a renowned American author, activist, humanitarian, minister, and independent journalist who founded the prestigious legal community called, “IRON Sharpens IRON Council” and is also the host of the popular series, “Ain’t No Fun When the Rabbit Got the Gun”.

In the beginning of Sutton’s professional career in 2014, she had spent most of her time serving in the United States Navy career and then became a veteran with an Honourable Discharge in 2018. Many people also know Sutton by her popular alias ‘Anne Smith’ as a professional name that she used when she was protecting her daughter and then discontinued it in early 2022. However, she used that alias again in 2022 during the launch of her comic book as a secret identity for the super hero, Sunshine Reign.

Some of Sutton’s most notable works include establishing IRON Sharpens IRON Council. It initially began through social media platforms like Facebook as a legal advocacy community in order to help her daughter to help her in her case when she had been wrongfully committed to a state hospital. Over time, people began to reach out to her, connecting with each other through knowing how they too, have been falsely accused by the legal system which eventually led to the growth of the community in a short amount of time. Through IRON Council’s community, Sutton has established a career as a thought leader, social activist, and motivational speaker.

Moreover, Sutton also runs a social justice movement, “Clear Her Name” and wrote a book, ‘Clear Her Name: A Mother’s Journey in Legal Research to Save Her Daughter”. Up till now, she has been featured in more than 240 media outlets and guest appearances on the Montel Williams Show. As someone who wishes to diminish the corruption infested within our world, she has attracted a wide population who can relate to the issue and have given their utmost support to help her achieve her goal.
