“Project DELTA and UNICEF Jakarta possible collaboration”
During the course of this week, Project DELTA held a meeting with some UNICEF Jakarta representatives to find ways to work together. As we mentioned earlier, Indocoin, who signed a MoU with Project DELTA, is pursuing a blockchain project with the Indonesian government. If we take the initiative with Indocoin for the sake of Indonesian children, there is a high possibility to count with UNICEF’s support.
Here is the meeting’s briefing according to Josh Choi, Project DELTA CMO:
First, if the Indonesian government implements a blockchain project to facilitate education for kids with scarce resources, Project DELTA could support this initiative and possibly cooperate with UNICEF for fundraising.
Second, Unicef has raised about 16 million dollars through “Innovation Fund.” This fund allows UNICEF to invest in open source technologies for children and support startups companies that cover health, education, human rights issues for the sake of the little ones in developing countries. At present, there are not many blockchain startups in Indonesia. Project DELTA could propose a DAPP and specialized service for Indonesian children based on blockchain; if our project makes it through the selecting process, we could be working together with UNICEF Jakarta and the Indonesian government to carry out our plan.
As Project DELTA has already decided to pursue a blockchain project with Indocoin in Indonesia, we hope to receive UNICEF’s support through the Innovation Fund program.

“유니세프 자카르타와 프로젝트 델타팀의 협업 가능성”
유니세프 Jakarta 사무소는 인도네시아 국내 지원 사업에 집중화된 조직입니다. 델타 팀이 얼마전 MOU 를 맺은 Indocoin이 인도네시아 정부와 블록체인 사업을 추진중입니다. 우리가 본격적으로 인도네시아 내 블록체인 기반으로 아이들을 위한 사업을 진행한다고 하면 유니세프와의 협력이 가능할 것입니다.
첫째, 인도네시아 정부와 함께 어린이 대상 교육과 관련된 지식 서비스를 론칭하고, 이를 학교 교육 및 저소득층 아이들 대상 교육에 활용할 수 있다면, 우선 프로젝트 델타가 인도네시아 정부와 공동으로 프로젝트를 기획하고, 유니세프와의 협력을 통해서 유니세프가 필요한 자금 모금을 지원하는 형태가 가능합니다.
둘째, 유니세프내에 Innovation Fund라는 새로운 기금이 조성되었습니다(1600만 달러 규모). Innovation Fund는 기술을 통해 후진국 및 개도국 아이들의 건강, 교육, 인권 등의 이슈를 해결할 수 있는 스타트업 및 기업을 지원하는 것을 목적으로 설립되었습니다. 현재 인도네시아 내에 블록체인 기반 스타트업은 그리 많지 않은 상황이며, 블록체인 기반으로 인도네시아 어린이들을 위한 Dapp 및 서비스를 기획하여 Innovation Fund 프로그램에 지원할 수 있을 것입니다. 절차를 통해서 선발되면 유니세프, 인도네시아 정부와 공동으로 사업 추진 가능할 것으로 보입니다.
프로젝트 델타는 이미 Indocoin 과의 MOU를 통해서 인도네시아에서의 블록체인 사업을 추진하기로 한 만큼, 유니세프와의 협업 및 Innovation Fund 프로그램을 통한 사업추진이 가능할 것입니다.
