“Project DELTA discusses with Thanh Bui the protection of intellectual rights through blockchain.”
Hello, DELTA readers. If you’ve been following our project closely, then you know that today, Project DELTA’s CMO, Josh Choi, is participating as a guest panelist at the Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee (AP-IS).
For the past ten days, he traveled around Southeast Asia and met influential people and companies in the blockchain industry. Among these people, he met with Thanh Bui, a famous Vietnamese singer, to discuss various affairs.
Thanh Bui, the former winner of Australian Idol in 2008, was born in a Vietnamese-Australian family and runs a well-reputed art academy in Vietnam that fosters a new generation of singers and artists.
He expressed his interest in the use of blockchain to guarantee and protect artists’ copyrights, as well as he showed concern on social and educational issues. Because of this, he was drawn to Project DELTA’s plan to acknowledge and protect the intellectual property of the user-created content.
We hope to cooperate with Thanh Bui in the production of art related contents, such as promote the use of blockchain technologies in Vietnam in the future.

“베트남 국민가수 Thanh Bui와 블록체인 활용방안에 대해 논의.”
안녕하세요. 프로젝트 델타입니다.
2018.08.27 ~ 28 2일간의 UN Asia Pacific Information Superhighway Committee 가 진행 중입니다. 이곳에서 델타팀의 CMO 최지영님이 연사로 초청되어있다는 것은 지난번 포스팅에서 말씀드린것 기억하실 것입니다.
지난 10여일간 동남아시아 여러 나라를 돌아다니면서 많은 사람들과 업체들을 만났는데, 베트남에서는 베트남 국민가수 Thanh Bui를 만나 여러가지 이야기를 나눴습니다.
Thanh Bui 는 아메리칸 아이돌의 호주 버전인 Australian Idols 출신의 가수로써, 베트남계 호주 교포 가정에서 태어나 베트남에서 가수 활동 뿐 아니라 차세대 예술인을 키워내는 예술 아카데미를 운영중입니다. 베트남의 YG라고 생각하면 이해가 빠를듯 하네요.
Thanh Bui는 예술가들의 창작품에 대한 저작권을 보장할 수 있는 방안으로 블록체인 활용 방안에 관심이 많았고, 교육 및 사회문제 등에도 광범위한 지식과 관심을 보였습니다. 또한, 프로젝트 델타의 사업 방향 중에 유저들의 창작물에 대한 저작권 및 권리 보호라는 측면에 관심을 가졌습니다. 앞으로 베트남 내에 블록체인의 활용 증대 및 국제 협력 프로젝트 추진 등 예술관련 지식 콘텐츠 생산에서의 협력방안을 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대됩니다.
