Project DELTA meets with UN-ESCAP representatives in Bangkok, Thailand.
During Project DELTA visit to Bangkok, our CMO Josh Choi and CSO Ryan Kim held a meeting with some representatives of UN-ESCAP last Tuesday afternoon. They expressed interest in DELTA’s data mapping and artificial intelligence services.
Project DELTA proposes a unique approach that considers biased information resulting from the language imbalance in online content, especially in the region of Asia. By merely mapping and translating valuable data into Asian languages with little presence on the internet, DELTA can achieve a positive impact on children with little education access in underdeveloped countries and empower more women to become entrepreneurs.
If Project DELTA develops this solution further by combining blockchain and AI technologies, UN-ESCAP representatives said they would like to join and work towards solving more specific social issues in the future.
To end on a positive note, our CMO, Josh Choi was invited to speak and join the panel at the upcoming “Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee” taking place in Bangkok, August 27–28. Mr. Josh and Mr. Ryan’s trip was initially scheduled to end on the 24th; however, they will extend their visit and return to Bangkok to participate in this event.

프로젝트 델타 팀은 태국 방콕의 UN-ESCAP를 방문했습니다.
UN-ESCAP 와의 미팅에서는 프로젝트 델타가 진행하는 사업에 대해 매우 긍정적인 관심을 얻었습니다. UN-ESCAP의 지식 자료를 데이터 매핑 및 인공지능을 통한 서비스에 대한 것이었는데요.
아시아 국가들의 자국 언어로 표현된 정보의 부족으로 인해 생기는 정보 습득의 편향성을 해결하는 방안들에 대해 토의를 하였습니다. 데이터 매핑 및 아시아 국가들의 자국 언어로의 변환이 가져올 효과가 교육 받지 못하는 후진국 어린이들에게 어떤 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있을 것인지와 여성들의 기업가정신을 키우는데 도움이 될 수 있을 것인지에 대한 관심이 많았습니다.
만약 델타가 블록체인과 인공지능을 이용하여 위에 언급된 부분들에 대해 해결책을 제시할 수 있다면, UN측에서 관심 갖고 다양한 분야에서 공동프로젝트를 추진하고 싶다는 의견을 피력했다 .앞으로 협의를 통해 구체적인 안건들을 토의 할 수 있을것이라 기대됩니다.
이 자리에서 프로젝트 델타의 CMO 최지영님은 8월 27~28일 방콕에서 열리는 Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee 미팅에 패널 연사로도 초대를 받았습니다. 이번 출장일정이 24일까지 잡혀있었는데, 출장 일정을 늘려서 28일까지 있기로 했습니다. 관련 소식은 또 8월 27일 패널로 참석 후 소식 전해드리겠습니다!
