Anti-depressants didn’t make me feel better, they made not feel at all. Emotionally pinned to the wall was the way I described it then. I couldn’t slide down to the floor, but neither could I rise up. I only realized the extent of it once I weaned off — watching tv — something funny happened and I laughed out loud — and was startled. It had been so long since I actually laughed at anything.
