Here I am, first post on Medium. I’m a guy, 53-ish. I’m a Dad of four amazing kids.

Here I am! Nice to meet you. All of you. I’ve spent many hours reading here—intrigued, curious, delighted. And I hope that a few of you will, sometime, feel the same when you read my words.

I love words, language. Love print...books in every room. Love music, public radio, podcasting. Love food and drink (and with serious Celiac disease, need to pick my loves carefully!)

Love too, the visual. Photos, graphic design, beautiful objects. Flowers, Tomatos, Chickens, Dogs.

Bridges. I have a thing for them.

Cooking, eating, drinking.
