Why write?

In an interview with Tim Ferriss, Seth Godin mentioned a reason for writing that really resonated with me:

“Say one new thing everyday that you’re willing to stand behind.”

Seth, of course, went into greater detail about why it’s important to have a clear vision and purpose behind your writing. While I do agree, the hardest part of any venture can be getting started — so don’t let this stop you; you can always find your way.

If you’re looking for tricks to overcome the ‘resistance’ of getting started, I highly recommend The War of Art, by Steven Pressfield.
