YouTube launches tools to help nonprofits raise funds.

YouTube has now come out with tools to help with fundraising for nonprofits. It’s believed to help raise more money for the cause that the video supports.
In many studies or blogs they say that one of the reasons why people do not actually complete online orders or complete online surveys is because the site or process is less accessible. Even when people are making groceries purchases people are becoming more and more used to convenience. YouTube adding a simple “donate” button right at the bottom of the video should make the process so much easier and therefore more likely to lead to donations. Nonprofits are fundraiser and grant driven so this is extremely great news for those who need the extra tools to help raise money for the cause. This especially should be beneficial for those nonprofits launching emotional videos. In this initial phase and launch YouTube is paying for all of the transaction fees, leaving the full donation in the hands of the organization. YouTube also recently launched a tool called Super Chat for Good which allows for paid messages to appear longer in a chat stream and in a different color. Nonprofits would be able to use this tool if they launch a live chat and then those who join in on the conversation can pay for the messages to be seen. In my opinion, the donate button would be the most helpful for the nonprofits and the Super Chat for Good would be more beneficial for fan pages to help the creator see their comment. I hope YouTube continues to cover the transaction fees for these registered nonprofits.
