SPACE TOURISM — DISPATCHES FROM COLONY EARTH

Saturday June 4, 2016

Greetings space-traveler, consider earth this summer:

Irrelevant ants. Colonies — like Hutterites, different work for males and females — looking alike, all differences simply rationalized — jeans to tuxedos, wonder-bras to wonder women …

Not fully connected yet. Every child born to every opportunity. Equal, wanting simple satisfaction — Andy Warhol and George Orwell would agree, trump card played, takes all.

Many complain — backlogged, goals unfulfilled, prizes unclaimed — incompleteness.

Their life would be better — if only.

If only, they’d done that thing. When they should have.

If only, they’d felt that feeling. When they could have.

If only, they’d dealt cards differently.

Take sunscreen.

P.S.: Gusta misses them, sniffing around each room but finding their gone (Carla & kids went home yesterday), normal returns but this quiet is so empty …
