Wonderful column.

I would add that I don’t believe C.S. Lewis was a particularly religious person, where religion is defined as doctrine. He was though a great man of faith and his faith is reflected in A Grief Observed. His writing in Simple Christianity reinforces this notion.

Shadowland is his and H’s story, in my opinion, one of the greatest movies ever made. Frankly very emotional.

The world could use more writers like C.S. Lewis, especially in current times.
