Reframing the Narrative on Entrepreneurship
Gary Vaynerchuk

Hi Gary,

Great post. I believe the VC’s of this century have given people a false hope. People believe that anyone can be an entrepreneur and there is money falling off the trees for them to succeed.

Back in the 80’s when I was active, money wasn’t as easy. Silicon Valley was just starting and money was tight in New York for new businesses.

We though in millions, not billions. People were happy with thousands and a business they owned. Now it’s I want millions if not billions and still I want to own my business.

I don’t want to put all the blame on VC’s because the blame should be spread around to everyone who writes, talks or bellows about the money that is out there for the taking. Including the media. It isn’t.

Thanks for writing a better perspective and reality fo what entrepreneurship is all about.
