To outline or not …
Arin Basu

I find myself lost when I do an outline first (I know that makes no sense), but I am ADHD and an outline drives me insane. No pun intended.

I seem to do better writing from the hip. Although it isn’t good for grammar or spelling, but isn’t that was spell check and the Hemingway App is for?

I always did outlines when I would write a business plan for someone since that was a very technical piece of work. I also used outlines to edit a business plan which not many use. It is actually a good way to rewrite the plan or make sense of it.

Outlines should be used if they help and not hinder. Outlines are great for some, especially college professors of creative writing and English who in some cases demand to see your outline.

So my hats off to people who can outline.
