I recall my first business venture, a lemonade stand in the neighbourhood. I offered two sizes of drinks, small and large.
This seemed to be confusing to some in that they weren’t sure if they needed a large or if their children could drink a large.
I decided that giving people a choice caused issues with waiting to place an order for others in line.
After a week I served one size. No one noticed or complained.
When I opened an investment house in New York the issue was the percentages of commissions. I solved the matter with paying a salary to the brokers with an extra bonus if they made money. Simple again. No complex formulas.
What did I learn? Simple is good!
