At present, the DoD’s effort to curb sexual assault feels misplaced. By analogy it is like trying to find better ways to treat lacerations for the victim of a car accident that flew through the windshield.

We shouldn’t be looking for better ways to stop bleeding…we should be looking for seatbelts and accident prevention.

I think the root of the matter is the character of service members and the values of the organization.
