“But think about this. If we live in a society where the President of the United States publicly bullies companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Carrier…”
Get your facts straight, Barack Obama is the President of the United States. So, when did President Obama bully Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Carrier? I must have missed it.
Mr. Trump has yet to be elected, that happens next Monday, December 19, 2016. Even if he is elected by the Electoral College (which is likely, you need 36 dissenting votes, with no indication that there are going to be that many), Mr. Trump isn’t President of the United States until Friday, January 20, 2017. Currently, Mr. Trump is a private citizen. Nothing he does (including taking the call from the Taiwan President), until he is sworn into Office, is official State policy. He also doesn’t have to hand over managment of his business to children until that time, he will probably do so, just before he gets in his car to go to the inauguration. He can actually do the hand over up, on the stage.
So, it should read: “But think about this. If we live in a society where a private citizen publicly bullies companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Carrier…” then it sounds silly, but Mr. Trump is not the POTUS, yet. That Mr. Trump is President of the United States is not fact.
