The truth about our consciousness, and the lie of our egos

Over the last two years, I have come to understand this concept completely: that we are NOT our bodies. Our bodies are merely a tool to get us around this world and to interface with it. We are the intelligence, the consciousness, the divine spark that resides in these bodies until they wear out and we move on to the next level.

Likewise, we are not our thinking minds, nor are we our egos. They would like us to think that we are — that way, they can continue to feed themselves and control our lives. The mind, the ego, well, folks, they are merely tools. That is all that they are.

We have let them trick us into thinking that they are our true selves, but that is a lie.

We are the the observer, the one that is connected to the universe and to all living things. The other two, along with our bodies, are nothing more than tools that we have allowed to take control of our lives, resulting in their building us cages for us to live in, feeling lost and out of touch with the real world, and keeping us all feeling separate, keeping us all divided.

Once you realize this, once you break that connection, once you are finally able to realize that the door to that cage was unlocked the whole time, and you step out of the cage, that my friends, is when you become free.

We are all connected, just as we are all connected to the world at large, to all of the plants and animals on this beautiful planet. All living things are intertwined, interdependent, and all share that divine spark with us. We all have the right to live and exist without interference, to be allowed to reach our full potential, whatever that may be.

Love one another. Respect one another. Support one another. Help those in need. Be kind. Be compassionate. But above all, remember that we are all one, and what we do to another, we also do to ourselves. Hate and fear only bring the darkness.

We need to bring the light.
