Room for a tremendous, multi-charge lawsuit here. The doctor had a ticket; the problem was United Airline’s, not his. I note this was not an overbooked flight, but a sleazy attempt to add employees to an already-full flight: so this is not a ticket contract issue, but clearly a management problem. No one can offend & be subject to violent arrest merely by being the object of a random computer selection: that is utterly lawless. The police had absolutely no occasion to act violently, or even beginning to act without consulting the doctor before acting. Police & United Airlines are wholly at fault.
