Photograph Prompt — Week 2 — Tension

Hello Dear Reader

This week I am offering a picture which at first may not seem to have any tension at all. It is all in how you, the reader or writer may want to use it. The picture or scene, as one may think, is tranquil but what might it hide? Is it the view of murder, the place where someone is about to be killed? What else could it hold?

Have a look and see what you might make of it. Tension could be anything, waiting for a lover to appear while keeping out of sight or even spying on someone. It is all there in the picture.

So here is my opening lines, maybe you will continue the short story;

‘I had the perfect view or so I thought. I felt exposed, in the daylight if someone really looked hard enough they could have seen me. Trying hard to not look conspicuous, the tension was rising. Who was she going to meet? I had my camera ready. A sudden thought, was this right to intrude?’

Where would the story go next?

Tagline ‘I spy with my little eye something beginning with …’
