Finding My Tribe — The Upside of the Downcast Year
Mark Suster

I’ve recently had a great conversation with a close friend, who is also a Vice Provost at USC. It was very encouraging to know that institutions like USC feel the burden to not only advance intellectual progress in Los Angeles, but also make great social impact in our society. As a major educational institution in one of the most diverse (racially and economically) city in the world, leaders at USC believe that it’s their responsibility to solve some of our society’s major issues. Racism, climate change, homelessness, healthcare, technology. I had the pleasure of meeting Kara today, and I’m glad that Upfront is committed to our great city that we call home.
