Although you might accuse me of being biased, this is clearly an informative and well documented statement about GMOs. In spite of intense scrutiny, the safety and efficacy of GMO crops continue to be unheld in the scientific literature. Unfortunately, because of the high cost of regulatory hurtles (supported by the anti-GMO contingent), public plant breeders can not access this technology to develop public crop varieties. Consequently, only the large multi-national plant breeding companies are able to use this modern plant breeding method to improve crops.
