I find that most people who quote scripture to condemn something are ‘cafeteria Christians’. You know what that is, don’t you? A cafeteria Christian (or Jew, or Muslim) finds a passage in scripture that supports their particular bigotry and ignores the rest.

My question to the Klan and those who think like them is this. Since you seem to support the prohibition of wearing certain clothing found in Deuteronomy 22:5, do you also approve of slavery as provided in Leviticus 25:44–46? Would you sell your daughter as is says in Exodus 21:7? How about killing your disobedient son as commanded in Leviticus 20:9? Would you put to death your neighbor if you found him working on the Sabbath as commanded in Exodus 31:15? Do you wear a nice cotton/poly blend? That is forbidden in Deuteronomy 22:11. So is shellfish, Leviticus 11:12.

Now you might say that the Old Testament does not apply today since Jesus replaced that with the New Testament. Fair enough. Aside from the fact that you quote Deuteronomy, Jesus never said anything about the subject, not once, never. And yet people like you are constantly picking and choosing while ignoring the rest of what the Bible has to say about sin. So you have to ask yourself, do I follow EVERYTHING in the Bible or am I just a holy hypocrite?
