Why in these types of article is there the presumption that we (the plebs) all want to work and achieve? With a shrinking population in most of the western world not flooded by 3rd world refugees and the view that an ever expanding or growing economy probably will run out of materials and people to sell to in the very near future I’d say that the writing is on the wall for YOUR economy and that many will welcome the freedom from drudgery that a machine driven one will mean. If you imagine that all the “freed” wage-slaves will just line up for their pablum then you are definitely in for a big surprise. Education and a change in taught aspirations is the answer (why is a millionaire more valuable than a care-giver?) along with a rational look at where we, as a species, want to go/be.
