I might one day buy a SIGMA with a Foveon sensor, though — just to have the fund of playing with it, and seeing what I can do with one. They certainly are “interesting” — I’ve seen shots taken them, and they’re astounding.
The more people argued about pixels, the less interested I became. Following a ‘soft shoe shuffle’, when I quit some of my gear, I’ve settled on 4 cams — a Nikon S9700 pocket go-everywhere job, an almost go-everywhere Canon PowerShot G7XII, a Nikon D500 half frame and a D850 full frame.
I am pleased with the trend of development of cameras for today. This is very useful for modern photographers. I myself use these cameras. And it’s very useful for work
Stop worrying about FF equivalence, stop it down a bit, and get a longer lens if needed for a shallower DOF. I was just going back and forth between FF and MFT and which I wanted. Everyone talks about getting the exact same equivalence, but that really doesn’t matter unless you compare side by side. Both can take great photos, just have their own pros and cons.
