Can’t say that I agree with everything here, but I root for VSCO, and think that they do great work.
With 5.0, it seems as if they’ve completely ripped the proverbially usability band-aid off here. Outside of a brief tutorial, they’ve introduced a lot of cognitive friction for long-time…

I see so many in the “media” complain about the difficulties in monetizing their content. It should be challenging to monetize content. Great content should be rewarded, while not-great content punished.
The most interesting thing about Figma, so far, seems to be the fact that they aren’t just re-thinking the interface for a design tool, but taking the time to re-think the tools that we’ve been conditioned for 20 years to accept as standard and unimprovable.
