Exactly. This idea of the American midwest as America’s breadbasket is so outdated. The red states really are in a pathetically sorry state, even for agribiz. It’s ALL soy and corn for chem companies, and factory farm meat. In the case of a Heartland Strike (ridiculous, but for argument’s sake), the only thing that would be substantially more expensive would be low grade beef and poultry. Dairy would go up, but every state in the union has at least some dairy capacity, and every city has dairy producing farmland within an hour’s drive. Don’t worry about any massive strike by (guffaw) Trump fans. They’re mostly harmless boobs and wretches. Mostly.
