This story just pulled an old Eldridge Cleaver essay/excerpt from my memory, "Meeting a Guru" about his teacher in San Quentin.

I think because of the great depiction of humanity in all of its light and darkness complexities. No matter which side of the bars we are on when we wake, knowing our selves and others seems to be our task. Great piece!
