If you have never had anything to do with IOTA, you just need to do 5 steps and in a few minutes you’ll be the owner of your first IOTA with no hassle, expertise, money and you also can participate in the “Test The Tangle Text” event. - Trinity Wallet Download: Here you can download the official IOTA Trinity Wallet
- Set a seed for Trinity Wallet: Never use a foreign online seed generator for IOTA and secure your seed well.
- Getting IOTA: There are always a few people in the IOTA community who are giving to newcomers a few IOTA to test for free. Of course, you can also register on a exchange and buy IOTA.

1. Trinity Wallet Download:
You need a wallet to secure your IOTA. Each wallet is identified and protected by a unique access key known as a ‘seed’. The seed is an 81-character string, comprised of capital letters A-Z and the number 9. It’s important to note that while we call them wallets, they do not actually store tokens. 2. Set a seed for Trinity Wallet:
- Open Trinity
- To create a seed in Trinity, click Yes, I need a seed. If you already have a seed, or if you created a seed outside of Trinity, click No, I have one.
- Enter an account name for your seed
- You can choose to rename your account later in the Account management
- Select an option to back up your seed and enter a login password. You will need this password every time you log into Trinity.
Never use a foreign online seed generator for IOTA and secure your seed well.

The seed is the key to your wallet and needs to be well secured. If the seed is compromised, forgotten or misplaced, there is no recourse. I would like to create a sensitivity with this. It should be clear to everyone how important the safety of the seeds is and that there are actually people who have lost their seed and therefore their IOTA. The topic is very important for newcomers. For example, hard disks can be broken, messages sent over the Internet can be intercepted … Bitcoin is believed to lose about 20% forever and, for example, Elon Musk is said to have lost its seed and millions of dollars(to todays equivalent value).

3. Getting IOTA:
The IOTA community is fantastic. There are always a few people in the IOTA community who are giving the newcomers a few IOTA to test for free. I’ll give you some addresses and we’ll also put in a telegram accout that you can contact if you need some IOTA to test. Just write that you have installed the Trinity Wallet and now you need some IOTA for testing. Please do not forget to enter your IOTA address. I would be very surprised if you do not have IOTA in your wallet within a very short time.
!!! Important: send only your address and never your seed. The seed must be protected forever, because the one who has the seed has access to your IOTA wallet !!!
