Mindfulness 101

Before we get into some definitions its useful to take measure of the type of world you may be living in. Work, family, bills, study, sports, rest and exercise all pulling for our time and attention. We can find ourselves spending most of our waking (and sleeping) hours thinking about the future, replaying the past or simply rushing from one thing to the next.

We spend very little time right where we are. Our minds are wandering over 50% of our waking hours! When was the last time you were in the shower? Really in the shower, not planning the day, day-dreaming or worrying while throwing some shampoo…
