That assertion requires me to question everything else in the article that I don’t already know to be a correct fact — and prevents me from recommending it to others.

Truly anonymous cryptocurrencies like Monero may be able to successfully *EVADE* taxes (which is why I expect them to be banned in the next few years) — but the US Internal Revenue Service has already issued clear guidance on how cryptocurrencies *ARE* taxed.
