Separating men into little made up buckets and then cr*pping in the buckets is not social commentary — it is gender bias, stereotyping, or misandry. Apparently, the author is a mind reader. The whole article basically consists of observing male behavior and making up a little story to try to explain it. In a world demanding gender equality, it is just as offensive to write biased, stereotypical stories about men as about women.

I didn’t count how many times the author used some variation of the phrase “high value woman” to describe herself, but it was a lot. I can think of several reasons why the author might not be finding the men she thinks she deserves, and not all of them are the fault of the men.

I know several people who had very high opinions of their value on the dating market until they got desperate and started accepting blind dates their friends set up. The gap between what they thought a good match would look like and what their friends thought was a big eye opener. One woman was literally fixed up with a guy who lived in his mom’s basement. She had been chasing a young dentist.
