As long as progressives send the message that the Democratic Party has our vote no matter what, no matter what the Party does to dis-empower us while further empowering the 1% (think TPP for a good example), no matter what kind of bad nominee they give us (like Hillary Clinton would be), then progressives will continue to be taken for granted and will not have their wishes catered to. Do you remember President Obama’s chief of staff Rahm Emanuel calling progressives “f — ing retards” and saying “f — — the UAW”? Why were we progressives disrespected like that? Because our votes have been taken for granted. Where else can we go, they think. The only reason that Hillary is trying to act like a progressive now is that she realizes she actually has a viable challenge from the Left this time.

My vote cannot be taken for granted. I will let Democratic candidates lose and lose until they reform themselves, stop selling out to Big Money, and they give us candidates that will empower the people, and disempower the plutocratic elite and the corporatocracy.
