Wow! This is a pretty deep thought, but the sentence expresses exactly what freethinkers go through when conforming to the religious beliefs of others. For me, it’s just one more thing that separates me from something that I love dearly, which is cultivating relationships with real people. Religion indeed adds a mask to the already layered believer, preventing others from learning who they truly are or understanding what they are truly made of. Thanks so much for reading my thoughts Interculturalisticman.
