The upcoming Formula 1 season will mark the 75th anniversary of the series. Preliminarily, a record-breaking 24 races for the year 2024 will start in Sakhir from February 21–23. Bahrain will host the first Grand Prix on March 2, and Abu Dhabi will host the final race, concluding on December 8.
Anticipation surrounds the return of the Chinese Grand Prix, which last featured in the F1 calendar in 2019. Although initially scheduled to return in 2021, 2022, and 2023, it was subsequently canceled.
How to watch Free F1 live streams
Residents of Austria and Luxembourg can enjoy free live streams of every Formula 1 race in 2024. Luxembourg’s channels, RTL Zwee, and in Austrian ServusTV and ORF will broadcast all races. If you encounter any connectivity issues with those channels, check Belgium’s RTBF
How to Watch Formula 1 streams in the U.S.
ESPN networks and ABC will broadcast Formula 1 during the 2024 season, and various access methods will be available. Through most cable packages, as well as streaming services, including Sling TV, Fubo, YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV.
You can also stream F1 races via the ESPN app, or the Watch section of ESPN’s website. However, you’ll need to authenticate with your satellite, cable or live TV provider credentials to watch any sessions.
How to watch Formula 1 pre-season testing streams
Formula 1 will showcase all three days of testing in Bahrain, totaling 25 hours of coverage. What’s new in F1 2024 season
Unlike last season, the Bahrain, Saudi Arabian, and Las Vegas Grands Prix will be held from Thursday to Saturday, breaking from the standard Friday-to-Sunday schedule of other races.
The times when teams and drivers could test new cars extensively, spending 28–30 days on the track in winter, ended back in the 2000s. Even the shakedowns, witnessed after the car presentations in the last three weeks, are restricted to 100 km in modern Formula 1. In 2024, for the third consecutive year, participants will undergo just three full days of testing before the championship begins. The first race will take place in Bahrain on March 2.
