No doubt talking to people about them instead of discussing about yourself is the hardest part. Knowing someone, giving them attention, discussing them show how much you care about them. Have you ever thought about the advantages of this challenge? Let me put light on that, if you take small initiated to talk all about them, they will start being comfortable with you and there is a big possibility that they’ll start looking up to you to discuss the problem with.

I talked to a friend of mine and start taking an interest in her by discussing about her life, her routine etc. Initially everything was going so smoothly until she shared her issue, it was a sensitive issue about her son. I am so glad I took this challenge and discussed about her by which she shared her issue with me. With just a bit of encouragement, she was fearless and confident enough to talk about it to everyone out there. She is a strong mother, I am proud of her and her son will also be so proud of her.

The lesson I learnt that it is worthful to take an interest in others, to be supportive and to give your attention. This is how you will be able to make good and honest friends. The concept of making good friends quickly was very well explained in chapter 1, “Do This And You’ll Be Welcome Anywhere” from “How to Win Friends & Influence People” written by Dale Carnegi that; ‘‘You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you’’.

Hence proved, that being interested is more powerful and worthful then being interesting.
