(Movie) 1944’s Cover Girl

Why is it always hard to get the job and the man of your dreams all at the same time? Well, regardless if it’s the 40s or now; the same cliche challenge applies in a relationship.

This movie is about an entertainment business started by a pair of lovers and a friend. The woman suddenly felt stuck and wanted to achieve more in her career; this means trying to land a spot as a Cover Girl in a leading fashion magazine that will unlock more opportunities and success for her.

Of course, she wanted success and bring his lover with her but situations came up and got in their way. Will they ever get back together?

Gene Kelly and Rita Hayworth did awesomely in this love story. Fred Astaire is not the only man who’s got the moves in this era. I now wonder if there ever was a movie where they’re both in it.

Along with the dance performance in the movie, it’s also a great time for romance and fall in love with this film.
