This is a lot to take in, but I can relate to this so much that I wanted to absorb and digest it thoroughly, and I did, but not quite well yet.
Now, I understand myself more and why I feel more comfortable being alone with my imagination wandering all over. I love that there are creativity researchers that study how the creative process works and I love how they concluded that creative people’s minds are often contradicting with a lot of the extremes. I mean, crazy and sane at the same time? That is absolutely how one can describe a creative person.
Another thing I learned and won’t forget is what Barron found out in his research, “creative thinkers have an unusually high tolerance for disorder and disarray”!
I also love that because of this article, I’m now aware of the incubation stage that comes before the illumination/eureka stage, where all the unconscious process happens. It’s good to know that there is such a stage in the creative process. It made me realize, the brain is really so powerful that it works and is productive even on its own.
