The wake in the afternoon (2012)

a wink,

late rainbow in the afternoon;

i folded my hands in prayer

for a better sleep;

as I walked, deep steps

in tons of snow

there it was

a sumptuos glacier

an infinite ocean

I stared at it

my feet on the golden tuft

of your eyebrows;

a chill through my spine

preceded the jump

I floated in Universe

surrounded by chants

thousands of pulsars

singing of us

like a finger on the edge

of a wine glass;

with shaking hands

we pulled out the weights

out of our chests

as we put them in each other’s hands;

I remember you saying

never before and never again
