So true. What I find interesting is that it is almost exactly what Catholic spirituality (maybe others too, but this is the one I know) advises. Contemplative prayer (detaching from people and work to meet yourself and the transcendent), fasting, sleeping on a regular basis, learning restraint… Things that were declared “medieval rubbish” are now being rediscovered as scientifically proven benefits…
