Traditionally the meals and snacks space in offices were humbly positioned as far away as possible from the eyes of everyone, in a less noble area and target of less investment.

Nowadays it’s a whole other story. The most attractive companies to work with, have transformed this space into the heart of interactions and the centre of attention for visitors.

The trend seems to emerge from the importance that kitchens also have in our homes, whether through the historical passage of recipes or the memorable moments that unite us around meals, with family or friends.

Formal and Informal meetings

With the popularity of openspace offices, the need for meeting areas is growing and, of course, due to their flexibility, the pantry becomes an appealing place that doesn’t need to be scheduled and adapts to different needs.

We can have a meeting with our team while having a coffee, have a quick chat with a supplier or even the best place to show the company to a future customer.

Well-being and Confort

The pantry is also a fundamental area for feelings of well-being and for the healthy life of collaborators. Besides providing the conditions for comfortable meals with a complete and functional kitchen, many companies offer free fruit and snacks for breakfast or coffee breaks.

Because it is designed for comfort, in many cases we find people who prefer to use this space to work at certain times of the day, rather than to use their usual spot for work, precisely because it allows a different perspective.

Events

More and more companies are choosing to open the doors of their offices to make themselves known and attract talent. The pantry is therefore designed to host informal events, having functionality, comfort and showing the best of the office to visitors.

Get-together

What used to be a “dead” space outside of mealtimes, is now transformed throughout the day into a space where are expected to happen positive interactions between collaborators of different teams or departments, while drinking a coffee, conversations, or playing team games which helps create and strengthen relationships.

Pantry spaces have become a central space of offices, fun and comfortable, used through the day for various purposes, and also a space companies are proud to show to their visitors and clients.
