When we enter the office, light and transparency welcome us. We look around and see the different the work areas. Divided into two floors, the space is large and from the entrance you can easily understand the organization and dynamics of this open space.

The riverside zone of Porto is honored in the wall panel of the meeting room at the entrance, which can either receive clients or daily meetings. The focus on sound comfort is present throughout the office, and the solutions were integrated as part of the decoration.

Going up to the first floor we find the Operations team, with colleagues from the People, Finance and Marketing & Communication areas, working collaboratively. On this floor, designed to foster collaboration, there are many people who are usually in the office. On this floor there are also many other places where people from various teams can get together.

All floors have a clean desk policy, facilitating the flexible model where anyone can work from the office, on a scheduled basis, whenever they wish.

The lockers provided play a central role here, allowing collaborators to store their belongings, ensuring a minimalist, clean desk style.

On the ground floor, the work areas have fixed tables and standing desks. In the work area on floor 1, the desks have a trapezoidal shape, that allows them to be organized in a circle or semi-circle, for any moment of more collaborative work.

The color palette — yellow, blue, orange — is present throughout the space, more evident on the file cabinets and lockers, which invite people to store whatever they need when they come to the office.

Meeting rooms

The main decoration is found in the meeting rooms. On floor 1, these rooms are inspired by topics such as technology or Cyberpunk 2077.

There are 3 rooms united by the Cyberpunk 2077 theme. On the back walls of each meeting room there is the skyline, the city map, and a character from the series. Neon lights create a path and connect the three rooms. The dimensions of these spaces were designed for moments of focused work or quick meetings with few people.

Some rooms were also designed for more relaxed or brainstorming moments of working together without tables, or collaborative moments with tables for fewer number of people.

Color white remains throughout the space, as does the black framing of the glass walls, which simultaneously separates and maintains the connection between the rooms and the open space.

On the first floor, the largest meeting room is inspired by the city where Körber Digital’s headquarters are located, Berlin. In the rooms there is always vinyl white boardon the walls, to write and jot down ideas that come up during meetings

Phone booths are always available for a quick chat on the phone.

Kitchen and terrace

Both floors have a kitchen and meal area. The largest is on the ground floor, and it connects to the outdoor terrace. The black iron staircase is a highlight feature of the industrial character of the space, and connects the two floors. It also helps divide the space where collaborators access the refrigerator or heat up meals in the microwave.

In this area there is the Nespresso coffee machine always available for all collaborators. It is the most popular machine in the office.

On sunny days, the terrace is used for moments of pause. The green was not forgotten, with the presence of an Olive tree, which reinforces the Portuguese culture that also inspires the location of this office.

For leisure moments, we find an area with larger table for lunches or socializing in larger groups. The sofa with its space invaders decoration, inspires this area where gaming and fun moments also take place.

Going up the iron stairs to the first floor, you will enter directly to the pantry on the upper floor, which invites anyone to take a quick or longer break on the sofas or at the dining table. This space is eclectic. With the colors of the palette chosen for the office, the lamps create a chromatic communication between the two floors, and have a double function: decoration and acoustic insulation.

Office Sounds

Nuno Baptista “The spaces are more separated, for those who prefer more privacy. But at the same time we are all together, and I really like that.”

Aurélie Rodrigues “I don’t believe in offices, I believe in people in the offices.”

Rui da Silva “Since team building, every time I come to the office I know I’ll meet someone I know and we’ll have a coffee and talk. I also come because I need to be in a bright place, and this office has lots of light. This makes a lot of difference in my day-to-day life.”
