This new tool promises to revolutionize the world of online shopping and advertising.

One of the main global traditions of the Christmas holiday is the exchange of gifts, an occasion used by participants to demonstrate their appreciation and affection for their loved ones.

However, in every family there is some member who no one knows what they like or what to give them, and even more complicated, where to get it. This is where generative artificial intelligence enters, once again, into our daily tasks, this time from Google.

The company with the most used search engine on the Internet has created Google Shopping, a tool designed to find a product in online stores with just a few descriptions of information.

How does Google Shopping work?
To use the Google tool, users only have to write a brief description of the product they are looking for or imagining, for example, “Blue polyester jacket with yellow horizontal bands, buttons and embroidery.”

Once the user writes the description, Google will use artificial intelligence to generate four clothing options that match what the user wrote. If none of them work, the client can try to rephrase the description or simply regenerate the options.

When you like one of the created images, the program will use Google Lens to search its database for similar garments that the stores have published on their website linked to Google, and will show the customer the most similar ones.

It should be remembered that Google has already ventured into new technologies for virtual shopping, such as ‘Virtual Try-On’, in which customers can see examples of how a garment looks on different body types.

In addition, Google allows you to turn on the camera and try on the garment through augmented reality.

Can everyone use the tool?
Unfortunately, not yet. According to the technology portal ‘Wired’ and Google’s announcement, early access to the tool is only available to users in the United States who have joined the Search Generative Experience (SGE) program.

However, the company assured that they will soon enable the option for all countries, which, in addition to facilitating the buyer’s experience, is presented as a great opportunity for virtual businesses.
