There is life beyond ChatGPT. From an application to control teacher burnout to another that can generate exams, here is a series of recommendations presented by the Observatory of the Institute for the Future of Education of the Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Teachers, at any educational level, can spend hours carrying out educational tasks, which consumes time that could be invested in other personal activities. For these cases, artificial intelligence (AI) can be a great ally to optimize the time allocated to certain tasks, without forgetting that these do not replace the work of teachers. Therefore, they should be considered as tools that favor teaching work. Below, we present three of them.

MagicSchool aims to combat teacher burnout by providing multiple features to speed up and facilitate teachers’ work. It has more than 50 tools to carry out different tasks, from lesson planning, exams, specialized educational programs (IEP), among others.

Likewise, MagicSchool has a specialized chatbot, Raina, which can answer any question related to education. For example, classroom ideas, best pedagogical practices, group control strategies, etc. The more specific the question, the better Raina will have results. Therefore, we must ensure that the prompt is precise.

The tools are organized into seven categories: planning, student support, communication, community tools, intellectual prep, content, and questions. It is important to highlight that these tools can be useful for multiple educational levels from kindergarten to university.

Diffit

Diffit is a tool that allows you to find specialized resources on any topic. In this way, teachers can save time searching for resources, while being easy to access for students.

In this application you can adapt material, whether reading, articles or excerpts, with the aim that any student has access to the content, generate the ideal and appropriate resources for any topic, as well as edit and share them with students through Word.

It is important to note that Diffit uses information from reliable sources, in turn using resource citation to validate its authenticity.

These are some of its most notable features:

- Adapt the material so that any student has access to the content. Therefore, it is ideal for facilitating the use of articles that are difficult to understand, supporting students learning English as a second language, modifying material for special education, and facilitating the understanding of concepts by all students, regardless of their reading level. .

- Generate short narrative texts on any topic and for any reading level.

- In addition, create summaries, ask DOK questions (Webb depth levels), create vocabulary lists, among others.

Its use is free at first, but once the trial period is over, it invites you to continue your premium subscription, which has access to better functions.
