Hi Sarah, I am happy that you learned something new. About the prediction, as far as I know your best bet would be to base your estimates on related data. If you were to build a bridge, you would gather as much data about how long took past bridge constructions of similar size, type and on same terrain for example and base your prediction on them.
Hi Ian, you are of course right. The Concorde project was used here only as an example of the bias. Biases, mistakes or even errors in general can and in many cases do lead to good things.
