Martina’s Whole30 Day 7: Popcorn Nightmare

Had a very vivid dream last night that I accidentally ate popcorn (like, how?) and then went “fuck it” and ate the entire bucket. Thankfully, I woke up still on track with my Whole30.

What does the parking meter know, Rami? What is its mission?

Meal 1

Kitchen sink scramble (aka all the leftover veggies in my fridge), chicken apple sausage, homemade ketchup, and an apple. My breakfast always look like trash, which is why I try to put different pictures at the top so the image that shows up on Facebook doesn’t turn people the hell off.

Meal 2

Grilled chicken (brined, obvi), spring greens, cherry tomatoes, mango, homemade citrus vinaigrette. This was way more filling than I anticipated. I worked out with Keisha and Makenna around 7pm, so I had a handful of nuts and a boiled egg about 30 minutes beforehand.

Meal 3

Butternut squash soup, leftover pork chop, homemade applesauce. The soup is heavenly and so hardy. I also added way more ginger than suggested so it was very reminiscent of arroz caldo, which I’m not eating right now because grains.

Things I Noticed

Today was the easiest day. Hands down. No cravings or hunger pangs. I definitely snacked today, though, because I have cherries and nuts on the counter and I’m back to my work from home grind after a long weekend of too much fun.

I haven’t noticed any effect to physical performance, which is something that’s supposed to happen. We’ll find out tomorrow, though, because I’ll be doing my big lifts. *strong arm emoji
