Solving GitHub Issues in a second.
TL;DR
This is a shameless plug of my Chrome Extension which I and many of my friends enjoy using every day. It finds the best solution for the GitHub Issue in a matter of seconds based on emoji rating.
What’s wrong with Github Issues?!
I always missed one feature one GitHub Issue page — ✅ Mark as solved — something like StackOverflow offers. It lets me find the right answer instantly.
GitHub Issues doesn’t have an option to mark some answer as solution. My best bet was to rely on community emotions — literally.
How it works
There is a lot of math going on which you don’t know anything about. It’s the thing that only I understand. If I open-sourced it you probably wouldn’t understand a single line of it. Just kidding. It’s simple. The extension aggregates all response emojis and categorizes them into 3 categories: positive ❤️, neutral 😄and negative 👎. Based on this rating it finds the best answer.
How I built this 🤔
I was bored on the train during my trip to Prague 🇨🇿. Really. I came up with this idea to built this thing and I built it. That’s it.
