The justification for removing visitors is nonsense.
Users get distracted? Why not let the users decide what to do. Nobody was forced to go through the list of visitors. No data shows users get distracted — somebody made this conclusion up.
Removing visitors was not necessary to make invisibility available to everyone. It just becomes meaningless when visitors no longer exist. Apparently the decison to remove visitors was taken and then some reasons for the public had to be made up.
The real reason to remove visitors is obviously in the hope that more people will pay for A-List because otherwise there is absolutely no indication who may be interested in you.
